The State Minority Scholarship for Pursuing Higher Professional Education (Part I) 2023-24, an initiative by the Minority Development Department, Government of Maharashtra, aims to support students from minority communities in their pursuit of professional or technical degree/diploma courses. The scholarship offers financial assistance, providing selected students with ₹50,000 annually or coverage of tuition and exam fees, whichever is less. Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must: 

• be a domicile of Maharashtra
• belong to minority communities including Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, Jain, and Jews
• have passed SSC from Maharashtra 
• have taken admission in professional or technical diploma/degree courses
• hold a bonafide certificate of the respective institution 
• have got admission through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP)/Institute Level
• have an annual family income of up to ₹8,00,000

***Note:- The candidates selected for this scholarship cannot avail of any other scholarship/stipend.

Benefits

The selected students will receive ₹50,000 per annum or tuition and exam fees (whichever is less).

• Educational certificate - SSC (Class 10) and onwards
• Minority declaration - Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper
• Income certificate from the employer, if any (school leaving certificate can also be considered as proof of minority)
