Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST,OBC Students

Scholarship Details

This scholarship scheme for ST,OBC students of Class 11 and above. The scholarship is applicable for candidates who hold a domicile of Andaman and Nicobar. The main aim of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those community students studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary level to enable them to complete their education.

Award

For ST Students -

• Maintenance allowance.
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees.
• Study tour charges.
• Thesis typing.
• Book allowance.
• Book bank facility.
• Additional allowances for ST students with disabilities for the complete duration of the course.

For OBC Students -

• Maintenance allowance of up to INR 750 per month.
• Reader charges for blind students of up to INR 175 per month.
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees.
• Study tour charges of up to INR 900 per annum.
• Thesis typing/printing charges of up to INR 1,000 to research scholars.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be a domicile of Andaman and Nicobar.
• Applicant must belong to ST,OBC community.
• Applicant must be studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary level i.e. Class 11 to Ph.D. level.
• Applicant must have passed matriculation or higher secondary or any higher examination of a recognized University or Board of Secondary Education.
• The annual family income OF OBC students should not be more than INR 1.5 lakh from all sources.
• Annual family income of ST students should have less than INR 2.00 lakh.

Documents Needed

• Passport size photograph of the applicant.
• Attested copy of diploma, certificate or degree of all examinations passed.
• Caste certificate issued by an authorised Revenue Officer.
• Income certificate.
• Domicile certificate.

How To Apply

• Step 1: Visit the official website of NSP.
• Step 2: Go to the New registration option.
• Step 3: Enter the required details in the registration application.
• Step 4: Complete the registration by verifying the number and email ID by enter the OTP.
• Step 5: Now go to the apply link of the scholarship you wish to apply for and click on it.
• Step 6: Fill the application form and Upload the documents as prescribed.
• Step 7: Submit the form and take print out for further use.
