Scholarship Details

This scholarship scheme is centrally sponsored scholarship scheme by the Government of India to students of Assam. Students who passed HSLC/AHM examination or Matriculation and continuing their Higher studies (i.e. Higher Secondary, Graduation and Post-Graduation) are able/eligible to apply for this scholarship scheme. They must have secured at least 55% marks in the last qualifying examination. Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Assam, For OBC. Must have secured at least 55% marks in the last qualifying examination.

Awards of Assam Scholarship

• Diploma students get Rs.            
  • 900/month as Stipend ,               
  • Rs 1000/year as Book-grant .                 
  • Total Rs. 11,800/Year.
• Degree students get Rs.             
  • 1000/month as Stipend ,             
  • Rs 1400/year as Book-grant .                  
  • Total Rs. 13,400/Year.
• Post-graduate students get Rs.    
  • 1200/month as Stipend ,             
  • Rs 2000/year as Book-grant .                  
  • Total Rs. 16,400/Year.
• Ph.D. / M. Phil. students get Rs.  
  • 1500/month as Stipend ,             
  • Rs 3000/year as Book-grant .                  
  • Total Rs. 21,000/Year.

Eligibility

• Students must obtain 55% marks in the academic year in the last qualifying examination.
• Students who get admission in LLM/MPhil/Ph.D. in any UGC-approved recognized university in academic session 2020-2021.
• The student must be a domicile of Assam (PRC document mandatory).
• Students must have a valid bank account and details document in the submitted alongwith the Assam scholarship application form.
• Assam Scholarship disbursement is done through DBT mode.
• Scholarship selection is based on a merit list and restricted as budget allocation.

Documents Needed

• PRC from DC/SDO as Proof of Domicile of state of Assam.
• Certificate from the head of the institution in which the candidate is presently studying.
• Final Marksheet of qualifying examinations.
• Photograph and Signature.

How To Apply

• First, visit the official website of the scholarship.
• Open the Scholarship of Assam.
• Choose between pre-matric and post-matric scholarship programs.
• Students have to apply as new users.
• Fill in the correct details in the application form.
• After that upload some documents to the official website.
• Recheck and then submit the application form.
• Save the application form and take some printouts of the application form.
