Scholarship Details
The scholarship scheme aims to minimize the drop-out of transition from the elementary to the secondary stage and to improve the participation of SC/ST/OBC children in pre matric level, so that they can perform better and have a better chance of progressing to the post-matric level of education. Financial assistance will be given to selected students.
Award
- For SC Students-
- INR 225 per month - day scholars.
- INR 525 per month - Hosteller.
- Books and Ad hoc Grant - INR 750 per annum for day scholars and INR 1,000 per annum for hostellers.
- Additional allowances for students with disabilities up to INR 240 per month.
- For ST Students-
- Day Scholars : INR 150/- per month for 10 months.
- Hostellers : INR 350/- per month for 10 months.
- Books and ad-hoc grant : INR 750/- per month for the day scholars and INR 1000 per annum for hostellers.
- For OBC Students-
- Day-Scholars of Class 1 to 10 : INR 100 per month for 10 months.
- Hostellers of Class 3 to 10 : INR 500 per month for 10 months.
- An ad-hoc grant of INR 500 per student per annum will be given to both hostellers and day-scholars.
Eligibility
- For SC/ST Students-
- Applicants should be a domicile of Puducherry.
- Applicants must belong to SC/ST category.
- Applicants must be a regular student studying in class 9 and class 10 Government school or recognized by a Government or Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
- Annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 2.5 lakh (For SC)and INR 2 lakh (For ST) from all source.
- Applicants must not getting any other centrally-funded Pre Matric Scholarship.
- For OBC Students-
- Applicants should be a domicile of Puducherry.
- Applicants must belong to OBC category.
- Applicants must be a regular student studying in class 1st to class 10th.
- Annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 2.5 lakh from all sources.
Documents Needed
- Domicile certificate.
- Passport size photograph.
- Self-attested copies of certificates, diplomas, degree, etc.
- Income declaration certificate from the parents/guardians.
- Caste certificate duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer.

- Step 3: Enter the required details in the registration application
- Step 4: Complete the registration by verifying the number and email ID by enter the OTP
- Step 5: Now go to the apply link of the scholarship you wish to apply for and click on it
- Step 6: Fill the application form and Upload the documents as prescribed
- Step 7: Submit the form and take print out
