Scholarship Details

The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are studying at the post-matric level. This scholarship provided by The Social Justice Empowerment and Welfare Department of Sikkim. The selected students are granted Scholarship/Financial Assistance for pursuing Higher education. The scholarship is provided to the State OBC Students from Class XI and onwards up to Ph.D./M.Phil./Post-doctoral research. The students should be studying in the various government and recognized private schools and for higher education in the various institutions within and outside the State.

  • Maintenance allowance
  • Reader charges for blind students
  • Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
  • Study tour charges
  • Thesis typing/printing charges for research scholars
Eligibility
  • Have a domicile of SIKKIM/Tripura state.
  • Belong to General and Extremely Backward Class
  • Be studying in Intermediate, Graduate, or Postgraduate course in government institutions
  • Have passed the matriculation, higher secondary or any higher examination of a recognized University or Board of Secondary Education
  • Have a family income of not more than INR 1 lakh per annum
Documents Needed
  • Passport size photograph
  • Attested copy of certificate/degree/diploma for all the examinations passed
  • An original certificate of income issued by an authorized Revenue Officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar
  • A receipt in acknowledgement of the scholarship in the previous year

How To Apply
  • Step 1: Go to the official website and Click on the 'Apply Now' button . 
  • Step 2: Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking, and 'Continue'. 
  • Step 3: Select the state of domicile, scholarship category (Post Matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), gender, write the applicant's name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID.
  • Step 4: Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number)
  • Step 5: Select Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the 'Register' button.
  • Step 6: The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
  • Step 7: Now, log in using OTP and fill the form.
  • Step 8: An application ID and password will be generated. Use that for future references.
