Scholarship Details

The Trust proposes to grant Scholarships to meritorious students, male or female, from West Bengal, who have in the year 2021, passed class XII examination and have secured 85% marks or more from WBCHSE or 90% or more from ISC/CBSE and whose family income is less than Rs. 3,00,000/- per year and as such are in need of financial help to pursue further studies. For students who are extra meritorious, maximum family income criteria may be relaxed in the specific cases at the discretion of the Trustees.

Award
The Scholarship will be granted to students for one year at a time and to be continued upon satisfactory performance by the Student in the preceding year, as evaluated by the Trust, up to the completion of the course subject to a ceiling of 4 years, on a yearly basis. Additional one-time payment of Rs. 7000/- towards the purchase of Books in 1st Year shall also be given.
Eligibility
  • Educational Qualification

Students, who passed Higher Secondary 2022 examination from WBCHSE Council with at least 80% marks, are eligible for this scholarship.

If students passed Higher Secondary Exam 2022 from any Central Board, then at least 85% marks will be require to apply for GP Birla scholarship.

  • Annual Family Income

The annual family income of the applicant is less than Rs. 3,00,000/- per year and as such are in need of financial help to pursue further studies.

 For students who have secured 95% or more from State Board or 97% or more from Central Boards, maximum family income criteria may be relaxed in the specific cases at the discretion of the Trustees.
 
  • Resident

The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal to apply for GP Birla Scholarship 2022.

Documents Needed
  • Completed application form attested by the Head of the Institution from which the student has passed class 12 or where he has taken admission
  • Proof of admission at a university/college
  • Academic certificates and grade reports for the last examination.
  • Income Proof
    • Copy of Form 16 or Salary Certificate (if father or mother is employed in the private or government sector), OR
    • Copy of Income Tax Return (in any other case)
