Scholarship Details

North Eastern Region (NER) students are benefited by Ishan Uday Scholarship, scheme launched by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Under this scheme total 10,000 scholarship are provided every year among NER students who are pursuing general degree courses, technical and professional courses, including medical and paramedical courses. students will get the scholarship amount in form of a monthly stipend to support their regular educational needs. 

Award

The Selected Students will get Ishan Uday Scholarship amount of Rs. 7800/- Per Month for Professional Courses and Technical Courses (Including Para Medical Courses and Medical) and Rs. 5400/- Per Month For General Degree Courses ( like B.COM, BSC, and B.A).

Eligibility
  • The student must be a resident of North Eastern Region and have a State domicile to prove so.
  • The income of the parents must not increase 4.45 Lakhs per annum from all sources.
  • Passed XII standard or equivalent in the preceding year, that is 2020 for application in year 2021.
  • Admitted into an institution recognised by the University Grants Commission or UGC.

  • Domicile certificates issued by a competent authority
  • Income certificate issued by a competent authority
  • Aadhaar card
  • Marksheets/ annual progress report verified by the concerned University/ Institution/ College, in case of renewal of the scholarship

How To Apply
  • First, the fresh applicants need to register on NSP Portal as a new user by providing correct information.
  • The applicants are required to provide information regarding their educational qualifications, Aadhaar Number, School/College Enrolment Number, Bank details, and State of Domicile while filling the registration form.
  • The applicants’ application ID is generated on the basis of their domicile state. This application ID is also used as the ‘Login ID’ on NSP Portal and future references.
  • Details like applicant’s name, date of birth, email ID, identification details and mobile number must be filled carefully.
  • After filling the registration form, an OTP is generated using which the applicant must login and fill the scholarship application form. Applicants must upload all the necessary documents and submit the application form.
