Kalia Scholarship for General students

Scholarship Details

The Government of Odisha started Kalia scholarship. Main aim of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the children of farmer. The beneficiaries will be helped so that they can pursue higher education. The students can take admission in Government and professional colleges and the scholarship will be provided on a merit basis to all of the beneficiaries.

Award

• The students of farmer will receive vocational courses.
• The government has sanctioned an amount of Rs.10,000 crore for this scheme for the welfare of children of farmers.
• Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs.10,000 will be given to each family for the Kharif and Rabi seasons at the rate of Rs.5000.
• Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has also announced an interest-free crop loan of Rs.50,000.

Eligibility

• Students should be the children of KALIA beneficiaries
• Applicant must have obtained admission in the government institution of the state on merit basis
• Those students who has taken admission on cost sharing/self financing/NRI cannot apply under the scheme
• If applicant is availing any other scholarship then he/she can't eligible for this scholarship.
• Student is getting this scholarship scheme for only one professional course
• Students should be the children of KALIA beneficiaries

Documents Needed

• Student must have Aadhaar Card
• Income Certificate of the Parent/ guardian
• Caste Certificate of the Student
• Residence Certificate of the Student
• Student must have Copy of passbook of Bank account with account number and IFSC code of the bank branch
• Passport size Photograph of student
• Ration Card of the Parent/ guardian
• Beneficiary Id of the Parent/ guardian
• Matriculation Certificate of the Student
• Student's Marksheet of last exam passed
