Scholarship Details

Kanyashree Scholarship 2022 is created by the government of West Bengal state, especially for the girl child of the society. The applicant must be a permanent and legal resident of West Bengal State in order to get the benefit of this scholarship scheme known as the Kanyashree Scholarship

Award

The following rewards will be given in this scholarship:-

  • Annual scholarship (K1 Level)- Rs. 750 per year.
  • One Time Grant (K2 Level)- Rs. 25,000.
  • Kanyashree Scholarship (K3 Level)- Science stream students – Rs. 2500 per month Arts stream students – Rs. 2000 per month.
Eligibility

The applicant will have to follow the following eligibility criteria in this scholarship:-

  • Annual scholarship (K1 Level)
    • The student applying for this scholarship must be a domicile of West Bengal 2. She should be unmarried 3. Students’ family income should be less than or equal to Rs. 1,20,000 per year 4. The student should be between 13 and 17 years of age 5. The female student must not turn 18 as this would make her ineligible for yearly scholarship benefits, and she would only be able to get a one-time benefit 6. The female student must be enrolled between class 8 to 12th standard in Government recognized regular or equivalent school or equivalent vocational or any other technical training courses 7. The family income limit will be varied under the following situations: The student is already a recipient of the scholarship and will be applying for a renewal of the  benefit students parents (both father & mother) are the deceased student is physically handicapped.
  • One Time Grant (K2 Level)
    • The student applying for this scholarship must be a domicile of West Bengal She should be unmarried upon attaining the age of 18 Students’ family income should be less than or equal to Rs. 1,20,000 per year The applicant female student should be enrolled and regularly attending an Institution of Higher Education or Training The female applicant’s family income criteria can be varied only under the following cases: Student’s parents (both father & mother) are deceased student is physically handicapped.
  • Kanyashree Scholarship (K3 Level)
    • Only the students registered for the K2 scheme would be eligible for the K3 scheme There is no maximum age limit to apply The student must have passed an undergraduate degree with at least 45% marks They must have taken admission in any postgraduate course at any University.

  • Passport size photograph
  • A statement declaring you are unmarried

How To Apply

The application procedure to apply for the scholarship is given below:-

  • First, go to the official website of the Kanyashree Scholarship.
  • Click on the Registration button.
  • Tick the checkbox ‘This is to declare that I have read the instructions properly and I agree to abide by them.’
  • Click on Proceed
  • A popup will appear requesting the minority students applying for fresh scholarship or renewal to apply in the following Portal
  • Click on Close button
  • Enter all of the details
  • The username and password will be generated
  • Click on the Login tab
  • Enter applicant ID and password
  • Click on the Submit button
  • The account dashboard will be displayed on your screen
  • Click on Edit Profile/Application tab
  • Fill the application form with basic details, qualifying exams, present course, address of the present institution
  • Upload your scanned photograph and signature
  • Click on Save & Continue
  • Submit your bank details with Name of Bank, IFSC Code, Branch Code, Account Number, MICR Code.
  • Click on Submit Application tab after uploading the required documents
