Maintenance Allowance for SC Students in Professional Courses

Scholarship Details

The scholarship is for those who are domiciles of Maharashtra and belongs to SC community. The aim of this scholarship is to help the economically weaker sections by providing financial support to reduce the incidences of drop-outs and encourages to complete higher education.

Award

Selected students will receive Maintenance Allowance as following-

Non-Government Hosteler:

• Course duration of the students between 4 to 5 years will receive INR 1,000 per month
• Course duration of the students between 2 to 3 years will receive INR 700 per month
• Course duration below 2 years will receive INR 500 per month

Government Hosteler:

• Course duration of the students between 4 to 5 years will receive INR 700 per month
• Course duration of the students between 2 to 3 years will receive INR 500 per month
• Course duration below 2 years will receive INR 500 per month

Eligibility

1. The student must be a domicile of of Maharashtra

2. Student must be enrolled in a professional course

3. Student should be studying a professional curriculum and residing in a hostel (Either government hostel or institute's hostel or outside)

4. Student must be a scholarship holder of the Government of India

5. Student should have an annual family income less than or equal to INR 2.5 lakhs

Documents Needed

1. Caste certificate of the applicant

2. College admission receipt of the applicant

3. Student must have Parents' income certificate

4. Registration or Application ID with GOI post-matric scholarship scheme

5. Warden letter (If the student is not getting admission in a hostel)

How To Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website for the application form.

Step 2: Click on 'New Applicant Registration'.

Step 3: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number.

Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric.

Step 5: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.

Step 6: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details.

Step 7: Log in using the username and password.

Step 8: Complete the scholarship application, upload necessary documents and submit.
