Scholarship Details
The scholarship is offered by University Grant Commission (UGC) to the students of minority communities. Five-years fellowship in the form of financial assistance will be provided to candidates who are studying in M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in India. The tentative closing date of application is 11th November, 2022.
Award
Scholarship Amount:
- up to INR 25,000 - for JRF
- up to INR 28,000 - for SRF
The contingency grant:
- up to INR 10,000 - for JRF
- up to INR 12,000 - for SRF
Other benefits including HRA, medical and academic leaves will be awarded to the selected scholars.
Eligibility
- The applicants should belong to Minority community.
- The applicants should have passed CBSE/NTA-UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET examination.
- The applicant should have secured a minimum of 55% at postgraduate level.
- The applicants should be registered full-time M.Phil./PhD courses in universities.
- The annual family income should not exceed INR 6 lakhs per annum.
NOTE: 30% of total fellowships (1000) is awarded to female applicants.
