Merit Scholarships for Economically Backward Class Students

Scholarship Details

The initiative of this scholarship is to provide financial aid to Economically Backward Class students who wants to pursue further education. The scholarship is provided by the School Education Department, Government of Maharashtra. Selected students will receive various awards to continue their study.

Award

• Hosteler boys: INR 140 per month for 10 months that sums up to INR 1,400/-
• Non-hosteler boys: INR 80 per month for 10 months that sums up to INR 800/-
• Hosteler girls: INR 160 per month for 10 months that sums up to INR 1,600/-
• Non-hosteler girls: INR 100 per month for 10 months that sums up to INR 1,000/-

Eligibility

• The student must be a domicile of Maharashtra.
• The student must belong to Economically Backward Classes.
• Students of Class 11 to post graduation (for boys - only students of Class 11 and 12) are eligible for this scholarship.
• The student have secured a minimum of 50 % marks in the SSC examination in the first attempt.

Documents Needed

• The student must have Income certificate is approved by Tehsildar
• SSC mark sheet of the student
• Previous year mark sheet for renewal  student

How To Apply

• Step 1: Visit the official website for the application form.
• Step 2: Click on 'New Applicant Registration'.
• Step 3: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number.
• Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric.
• Step 5: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
• Step 6: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details.
• Step 7: Log in using the username and password.
• Step 8: Complete the scholarship application, upload necessary documents and submit.
