Scholarship Details
Punjab Post Matric Scholarship for SC,OBC Students is Managed by the Government of Punjab and Proposed By SC/BC Welfare Department. Main objective of this Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to SC,OBC students studying at the post matriculation or post-secondary stage so that they can pursue their education. The applicant who are domicile of Punjab can apply for this scholarship.
Award
For SC Students -
- The students who are staying in hostels will have 1200 per month
- Students studying in day schools and colleges will receive 550 per month
- As study tour charges they will have 1600 per month
- Additional allowance per students is 140 per month
- Research students will get 1600 allowance for preparation of thesis reports
- For purchasing books students will have 1200 per annum, only for distance courses
For OBC Students -
- For students staying in hostels will receive 750 (per month)
- The students studying in day schools and colleges will have 350 (per month)
- The applicant who are visually challenged will received Rs.175
- As study tour charges students will received Rs.900 (per annum)
- Research students will get Rs.1000 allowance for preparation of thesis reports
Eligibility
For SC Students-
- The applicant must be a domicile of Punjab.
- The students studying at the post-matriculation level (class 11 to Ph.D. level) can apply for this scholarship.
- The family annual income should not be more than Rs. 4 Lakhs.
For OBC Students-
- The applicant must be a permanent domicile of Punjab state.
- Candidates must belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category and secured at 3.least 60 % marks in the qualifying examination.
- Students studying class 11th, class 12th, graduation, post-graduation and doctoral level courses will be eligible to apply.
- The guardian's income of the applicant must not exceed 1 lac per annum.

- All Related Mark Sheets of the applicant
- Admission Papers of Courses.
- Aadhar Card of the student.
- Bank Details of the candidate.
- Family Income Certificate.
