Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students

Scholarship Details

The scheme is for students belonging to SC/ST community and studying in class 11th to Ph.D. level. Main objective of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the students of lower economical group of the society. The selected candidates will get variable awards to complete their education.

Award

• Maintenance allowance for 10 months: hostellers - up to INR 1200 per month and day scholars - up to INR 550 per month
• An additional allowance for students with disabilities: up to INR 240 per month
• Study tour charges: up to INR 1600 per annum
• Thesis typing and printing charges for research scholars: up to INR 1600
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees

Eligibility

• The applicant must not be in receipt of any other scholarship.
• The applicant should be from Bihar state.
• The applicant should belong to SC/ST category.
• The applicant studying at class 11 to Ph.D. level can apply.
• The applicant must have passed the last qualifying examination.
• The annual income of the applicant's family should not exceed INR 2.50 Lakh.
