Post Matric Scholarship for ST community

Scholarship Details

The scholarship amount will be provided to those who belongs to ST category and have enrolled themselves in 11 to Ph.D. course. Objective of this scheme is to help students pursuing higher education.

Award

• Rate of maintenance allowance (Hostellers) - Up to INR 1,200
• Rate of maintenance allowance (Day Scholars) - Up to INR 550

Eligibility

• Applicant must be a citizen of Jammu and Kashmir
• Students must belong to Scheduled Tribes category
• Students must be studying in Class 11 to postdoctoral level
• Students annual family income should no exceed INR 2 lakh per annum from all sources

Documents Needed

• Passport size photograph of the applicant.
• Students must have Attested copy of certificates, diplomas, degree, etc. of all examinations passed.
• Applicant must have Caste certificate duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer.
• Income declaration certificate of the parents/guardians.

• STEP: 1 To apply for the scheme Go to the official website of the National Scholarship Portal
• STEP: 2 Have to register with the portal by select New Registration option which is available in the top right corner of the home page
• STEP: 3 Instructions will appear on the screen, read the instructions very carefully
• STEP: 4 Select all the significant details in the application form
• STEP: 5 Enter the captcha code shown on the screen and press register butto
• STEP: 6 Now login with the portal by using your login ID and choose apply button
• STEP: 7 Select the scheme want to apply for and for the application will appear
• STEP: 8 Complete the application form, upload the documents as required and click submit button
