Post Matric Scholarship of Government of India - OBC Students

Scholarship Details

Financial assistance to OBC category students who are studying or willing to study in under graduation or above level. The main objective of this scheme is to ensure the economic welfare and empowerment of backward classes of society. 

Award

• For Group A students (BSc, Medical and Engineering courses) - INR 750 per month for hostelers and INR 350 per month for day scholars.
• For Group B students (Diploma courses such as Engineering, technical science and postgraduate courses) - INR 510 per month for hostelers and INR 335 per month for day scholars.
• For Group C students (Engineering, Medicine, Technical Skill, Commerce and Certificates of Postgraduate Courses) - INR 400 per month for hostelers and INR 210 per month for day scholars.
• For Group D students (Post Matric Course up to Graduation) - INR 260 per month for hostelers and INR 160 per month for day scholars.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be from the Gujarat state.
• Applicant must belong to OBC category.
• Applicant studying at UG level and above can apply.
• Annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 1 lakh from all sources.

Documents Needed

1. Self-attested copy of the Aadhaar Card
2. Passport size photograph of the applicant
3. Fee receipt of current academic course
4. Previous year mark sheet
5. School leaving certificate
6. School/College bonafide certificate
7. Income certificate issued by a competent authority
8. Self-attested caste certificate issued by a competent authority
9. Bank account details of the applicant
10. Hostel certificate (only for hosteller student)
11. Break affidavit (If break gap is more than one year)
