Scholarship Details

This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to eligible students of SC or OBC community, so that they can pursue their further studies at post matriculation / post-secondary (college/University) levels within India. Selected students will get the benefits of the scheme.

Award

For SC students:

Degree and post-graduate level courses and research studies

  • Day scholar – INR 550 per month
  • Hostellers – INR 1,200 per month

Professional courses leading to degree/diploma/certificate

  • Day scholar – INR 530 per month
  • Hostellers – INR 820 per month

All other courses leading to a graduate degree

  • Day scholar – INR 300 per month
  • Hostellers – INR 570 per month

All post-matriculation level non-degree courses

  • Day scholar – INR 230 per month
  • Hostellers – INR 380 per month

For OBC students:

Degree and post-graduate level courses and research studies

  • Hostellers – INR 750 per month
  • Day-Scholars – INR 350 per month

Professional courses leading to degree/diploma/certificate

  • Hostellers – INR 510 per month
  • Day-Scholars – INR 335 per month

All other courses leading to a graduate degree

  • Hostellers – INR 400 per month
  • Day-Scholars – INR 210 per month

All post-matriculation level non-degree courses

  • Hostellers – INR 260 per month
  • Day-Scholars – INR 160 per month

All selected post-matric students will also get the following awards:

  • Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
  • Study tour charges
  • Thesis typing/printing charges for Research Scholars
  • Book allowance for students pursuing correspondence courses
  • Book bank facility for specified courses
  • Additional allowance for students with disabilities, for the complete duration of the course
Eligibility
  • An applicant must be a domicile of Delhi.
  • The applicant must belong to SC or OBC community.
  • An applicant must be studying at post matriculation / post-secondary (college/University) levels within India.
  • An applicant must have an annual family income less than INR 2.5 lakh for SC and less than INR 1 lakh for OBC.
  • The applicant must not be receiving any other scholarship.
Documents Needed
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Previous qualifying class mark sheet / certificate
  • Fee structure ( if applicable)
  • Residential Proof
  • Bank details of students (Aadhaar seeded)
  • Fee receipt ( if applicable)
  • Verification letter (for outside Delhi application)
  • Income certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste Certificate (for minority self-declaration)

How To Apply
  • Step 1: Visit the e-district portal.
  • Step 2: Login using existing credentials or register as a new user.
  • Step 3: Provide all the relevant details and follow the instructions.
  • Step 4: Select the scholarship scheme and upload the required documents.
  • Step 5: Submit the application.
