Post Matric Scholarship (SC/ST/OBC)

Scholarship Details

The scholarship is applicable for candidates who are the domiciles of Manipur and belongs to SC, ST or OBC category. Monetary benefits will be given to students studying in class 11th to above. Students fulfilling the eligibility criteria will receive financial support for pursuing their higher education.

Award

For SC/ST -

• Maintenance allowance: up to INR 1200 per month - for hostellers
• Maintenance allowance: up to INR 550 per month - for day scholars
• Study tour charges
• Book allowance and book bank facility
• Additional allowance for disabled students
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees

For OBC -

• Maintenance allowance: up to INR 750 per month for 10 months - Hostellers
• Maintenance allowance: up to INR 350 per month for 10 months - Day scholars
• Reader charges of up to INR 175 per month for blind students
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
• Study tour charges of up to INR 900 per annum
• Thesis typing and printing charges of up to INR 1,000 (applicable for research scholars)

Eligibility

• Applicants should be a domicile of Manipur.
• Applicants must belong to SC/ST/OBC community.
• Applicants must be studying in class 11th to Ph.D. level from a recognized institution.
• Annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 2.5 lakh for SC and ST  community students.
• Annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 1.5 lakh for OBC community students.

Documents Needed

• Aadhaar Card
• Passport size photograph
• Previous year mark sheet
• Attested copy of diploma/degree/certificates etc. in respect of all examinations passed
• Caste certificate signed by an authorized Revenue Officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar
• Income certificate of the parents/guardians
• Bank account details

How To Apply

• Step 1: Visit the official website of NSP
• Step 2: Go to the New registration option
• Step 3: Enter the required details in the registration application
• Step 4: Complete the registration by verifying the number and email ID by enter the OTP
• Step 5: Now go to the apply link of the scholarship you wish to apply for and click on it
• Step 6: Fill the application form and Upload the documents as prescribed
• Step 7: Submit the form and take print out for further use
