Scholarship Details

Post-Matric Scholarship to SBC Students, Maharashtra is an initiative by the VJNT, OBC, and SBC Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra. The scholarship is for SBC category student to inspire young minds with a passion for learning. The student who have completed Class 10 and are continuing studies at the post-matric level are eligible for this scholarship. The selected students will receive maintenance allowance and various benefits.

Award

• Hostellers - INR 150 to INR 425/month
• Day-scholars - INR 90 to INR 190/month

Eligibility

• 1.The student must be a resident of Maharashtra.
• 2.The student should belong to the SBC category.
• 3.Admission should be through CAP round for the students pursuing professional courses.
• 4.The student must be pursuing the education course approved by the government from class Post-Matric.
• 5.The student should Maintain 75% attendance for the current year.
• 6. The family income should not exceed INR 1,00,000 per annum.

Documents Needed

• Caste certificate of the applicant (This certificate can be considered as the proof of residence).
• Income certificate/Income Declaration of the student.
• The student must have Caste validity certificate (Mandatory for Professional Degree courses and Professional Postgraduate courses).
• The student's HSC or SSC mark sheet or last examination mark sheet.
• The student's  Gap certificate is mandatory in case of any gap year.
• Death certificate of the father/guardian (if applicable).
• Ration card to identify the number of children in the family.
• Leaving certificate.
• Declaration certificate of parents/guardian about the number of beneficiary children.
