Scholarship Details

Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for SC/ST/OBC Tripura is provided by Government of Tripura. The aim of this scholarship is to encourage and financially support the students from economically weaker families for education. This scholarship will help needy students to bear their educational expenses. The initiative of this scholarship is to empower the students of the state so that they can study well without any financial burden.

Award

For ST/SC Students-

• Maintenance allowance up to INR 1,200 per month.
• Study tour charges up to INR 1,600 per annum.
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees.
• Thesis typing/printing charges for research scholars INR 1,600.
• Book allowance for students studying through correspondence INR 1,200 Book bank facility.
• For specific courses students will receive up to INR 7,500.
• Disability allowance for disabled students will receive up to INR 240.

For OBC Students -

• The students will receive Maintenance allowance up to INR 750/- per month.
• The students will receive reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees.
• Study tour charges will get the selected candidate.
• Thesis typing/printing charges.
• Blind students are also get reader charges.

Eligibility

For SC Students-

• The candidate should be a domicile of Tripura
• The candidate must belong to Scheduled Caste category
• The scholarship covers the study of students studying in class 11 to post-graduation level.
• The students applying for this scholarship must have passed class 10/higher secondary/matriculation examination.
• The annual income of the family should be less than INR 2.5 Lakh from all sources.

For ST Students-

• The student must be a domicile of Tripura state.
• The student have to belong the ST category.
• The student should be studying in a recognized post-matriculation or post-secondary course.
• The student should have passed the matriculation, higher secondary or any higher examination of a recognized
• University or Board of Secondary Education.
• The student family income should not more than INR 2 lakh per annum.

For OBC Students-

• The student must be a domicile of Tripura state.
• The student should belong to Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
• The student who are pursuing Intermediate, Graduate, Postgraduate, or Doctoral courses from recognized institutes/colleges.
• The annual income of the family should be of less than INR 1.5 lakh.

Documents Needed

• 10th and 12th Marksheet of the candidate.
• Applicant Photo.
• Current year fees receipts/Fee Structure (Tuition Non-Tuition fees).
• Latest College Marksheets of the candidate.
• Address Proof of the candidate.
• Proof of Identity of the candidate.
• Student Bank passbook.
• An income declaration by the self-employed parents/guardians issued by the Revenue Officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar.
• A caste certificate duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
• Attested copy of certificate/degree/diploma for all the examinations passed.

How To Apply

• Step 1: Visit the homepage of the National Scholarship Portal and click on 'New Registration'.
• Step 2: Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking and 'Continue'.
• Step 3: Select the state of domicile, scholarship category (Post Matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), gender, write the applicant's name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID.
• Step 4: Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number).
• Step 5: Select Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the 'Register' button.
• Step 6: The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
• Step 7: Now, log in using OTP and fill the form.
• Step 8: An application ID and password will be generated. Use that for future references.
