Scholarship Details
The scholarship aims to encourage parents of minority communities to send their kids to school for education and thus lighten their financial burden and sustain their efforts to support their children to complete school education. The scholarship covers the admission fee, tuition fee and maintenance allowance. Students of class 1st to 10th who have obtained 50% or more scores in the previous examination can apply for this scholarship.
Award
- Admission fee for Class 6 to 10 (Hostellers and Day Scholars): INR 500 per annum
- Tuition fee for Class 6 to 10 (Hostellers and Day Scholars): INR 350 per month
- Maintenance allowance for 10 months (Day Scholars): INR 100 per month for Class 1 to 5
- Maintenance allowance for 10 months (Hostellers): INR 600 per month for Class 6 to 10
- Maintenance allowance for 10 months (Day Scholars): INR 100 per month for Class 6 to 10
Eligibility
- The scheme is applicable for Minority community students of Karnataka
- Open for students studying in Class 1st to 10th
- Students must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous final examination (Not applicable for students studying in Class 1)
- Students of Karnataka domicile studying in other states are also eligible
- The annual income of the students’ family from all sources should not exceed INR 2 lakh
- Students who are studying in Class VIII, who have applied online in last years, have to provide 14 digit registration numbers provided by the Social Welfare Department to their school headmasters

- Aadhaar Card of the candidate and her/his parents
- Study / Bonafide Certificate
- Income Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Minority Certificate (only for Sikhs and Jain)
- UDID Number(For differently-abled students)
- Stipend/Non-Practicing Certificate (For those studying in PG - AYUSH Courses)
- Previous year Mark sheet Pass in all subjects with 50% aggregate (Only for Fresh MCM Applicants)
- Previous year Marks sheet Pass in all subjects (For Post Matric scholarship and MCM Renewal Applicants)
