Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC, ST, OBC Students

Scholarship Details

The scholarship is open for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC category who are studying in class 5 to 10. Thus the incidence of drop-out, especially in the transition from the elementary to the secondary stage is minimized. Also to improve the participation of SC, ST, OBC Students of the pre-matric stage, so that they perform better and have a better chance of progressing to the post-matric stage of education. For 5th to 10th class students belongs to community SC/ST and only 9th and 10th class students belongs to OBC community are eligible for applying. The award will be provided as reimbursement of tuition fee and maintenance charges or mess charges. 30% of scholarships have been reserved for girls.

Award

• Rs.100 per month for Boys for 10 months.
• Rs.150 per month for girls for 10 months.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.
• For 5th to 10th Class students belongs to community SC/ST are eligible.
• Students belong to OBC community are only eligible for applying class 9th and 10th.
• He/she should be a regular, full time student studying in Government School or in a school run by local bodies aided by the Government.
• The applicant must have 50% marks in the previous class's final examination.
• The student must have an attendance of 75% at the end of each quarter.
• The annual income of the applicant's family should not exceed INR 2 Lakh for SC/ST and INR 1 Lakh for OBC candidates.
• Each Student shall have a Bank Account in his/her name from any of the Nationalized Banks. Students who are minors shall have a joint account in the name of the student and mother/father/guardian.

Documents Needed

• Income Certificate Obtained from Mee Seva.
• Caste Certificate Obtained from Mee Seva.
• Bonafide Certificate issued by the Head of the institution (School).
• Photocopy of Aadhar Card.
• Photo Copy of Bank Pass Book.
