Pre-matric scholarship for SC students

Scholarship Details

Backward Classes Welfare Department and tribal development department, Government of West Bengal provides Pre-matric scholarship to the students of the West Bengal through Oasis Scholarship Portal. The objective of the Oasis Scholarship 2021 is to provide financial support to the meritorious, economically weak student who belongs to SC category. By this Pre-matric scholarship for SC students scheme, the students who are currently studying in class 9th and 10th can apply for this scholarship.

Award

The SC students who have applied to the pre-matric scholarship will receive the Oasis scholarship amount for ten months. The Oasis scholarship amount list for the SC pre-matric candidates is as follows:

Day Scholars:

• The candidates will receive INR 150 per month.
• The students also receive INR 750 per annum as an Ad Hoc grant

Hostellers:

• The selected students will receive INR 750 per month.
• The government will offer INR 1,000 per annum as an Ad Hoc grant.

Eligibility

• student must belong to the ST category.
• Students in the 9th and 10th class can apply for it.
• The annual income of the family or guardian should not exceed INR 2 Lakh from all the sources of income.

Documents Needed

• West Bengal Domicile Certificate.
• Caste Certificate, Birth Certificate, Income Certificate.
• Aadhaar Card Or Any Other Government Proof Of ID
• Address Proof
• Passport Size Photo Of The Candidate
• Mark Sheet Of Previous Qualifying Examination
• Bank Passbook Showing Bank Name, Branch, IFSC Code, Account Number, Beneficiary Name.

How To Apply

The Oasis scholarship application process is submitted online and offline. After the candidates log into the WB Oasis scholarship portal, they can apply to their desired scholarship by filling in the details and proving their bank information.

Step 1 - The candidates should visit the official Oasis scholarship portal.

Step 2 - The candidates should log into the portal by entering their user ID and password.

Step 3 - After logging into the portal, the candidates can click on the 'apply' option.

Step 4 - The candidates can view the WB Oasis scholarship form.

Step 5 - They should fill in the details, provide their bank information and click on 'save and proceed'.

Step 6 - The candidates should double-check the information provided and click on the 'verify and lock' button.

Note: The candidates cannot modify the Oasis scholarship application form after clicking on 'verify and lock'.

Step 7 - After locking the information, the candidates should print out the Oasis scholarship online form by clicking the download application form button.

Step 8 - The candidates should attach the copies of supporting documents to the Oasis scholarship form and submit it to the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO) for block area or PO cum DWO for municipality corporation.
