Scholarship Details
Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Castes & Others is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme and implemented through State Governments and UT administrations. The Objectives of the scheme are:
- To support, parents of children belonging to Schedules Caste and other disadvantaged categories for education of their wards studying at the Pre-Matric stage so that their participation improves,
- The incidence of drop-out - especially in the transition from the primary to the next level and elementary to the secondary stage - is minimized,
- Students perform better and have a better chance of progressing to the Post-matric stage of education.
The Scheme is available for students pursuing studies in India only and will be awarded by the Government of the State/Union Territory to which the applicant belongs i.e. where he is domiciled.
Award

Scholars obtaining benefits under this scheme shall not be allowed to avail of benefits under any other pre-matric scholarship. ii. Students must have at least 75% attendance in the previous year to be eligible for a scholarship.

A passport-size photograph of the applicant.
Caste certificate (for students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category)
Income certificate.
Disability certificate (for students with physical disabilities)
