Pre Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

Scholarship Details

This scholarship is provided to students with disabilities and currently studying at class 9th-10th. Through the scheme they will be able to get various opportunities so that they can continue their education without having to worry about their disability or financial problems. Support will be provided to disabled students so that they can earn their livelihood in today's society.

Award

The following benefits will be provided to the candidates in this scholarship:-

• Maintenance allowance for 12 months (for hostellers): INR 800 per month
• Maintenance allowance for 12 months (for day scholars): INR 500 per month
• Book grant (for both hostellers and day scholars): INR 1,000 per annum

The following allowances will be provided to the candidates according to their disability:-

• Visually impaired: INR 4,000 per annum
• Hearing-impaired: INR 2,000 per annum
• Physically disabled: INR 2,000 per annum
• Intellectual disability: INR 4,000 per annum
• All other types of disability: INR 2,000 per annum

Eligibility

• Applicants must be a regular full-time student of Class 9 or 10 in a government or recognized school.
• The applicant must have more than 40% disability and a valid certificate for the same.
• Annual family income of the applicant must not exceed INR 2.50 lakh from all the sources.

How To Apply

• Step 1: Visit the official website of NSP
• Step 2: Go to the New registration option
• Step 3: Enter the required details in the registration application
• Step 4: Complete the registration by verifying the number and email ID by enter the OTP
• Step 5: Now go to the apply link of the scholarship you wish to apply for and click on it
• Step 6: Fill the application form and Upload the documents as prescribed
• Step 7: Submit the form and take print out
