Scholarship Details
The scholarship amount will be provided to those who belongs to SC/ST category and have enrolled themselves in Ph.D. or M.Phil. course. Objective of this scheme is to help students pursuing higher education. The last date to apply for SC students is 31st July 2022 and ST students 20th December 2021.
Award
The selected fellows will receive INR 16,000 per month for the first two years and INR 18,000 for the remaining years in the fellowship program. The government will pay the following contingency grant:
For Social Sciences and Humanities-
- INR 10,000 for the first two years
- INR 20,500 for the remaining years
For Engineering and Sciences-
- INR 12,000 for two years
- INR 25,000 for the remaining years
In addition, they also provide HRA, medical and academic leaves throughout the fellowship.
Eligibility
- The applicants should belong to the SC/ST category.
- The applicants should have enrolled in a full-time M.Phil. or Ph.D. program.
- The applicants should pursue higher studies in one of the selected streams to apply for the scholarship : Social science, Humanities, Sciences, Engineering and technology.
