Scholarship Details

State Minority Scholarship for Pursuing Higher Professional Education Scholarship (Part I) 2023-24 is an initiative of the Minority Development Department, Government of Maharashtra to provide financial aid to students belonging to minority communities for pursuing professional or technical degree/diploma courses. The selected students will receive ₹50,000 per annum or tuition and exam fees (whichever is less).

Award

The selected students will receive ₹50,000 per annum or tuition and exam fees (whichever is less).

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must: 

• be a domicile of Maharashtra
• belong to minority communities including Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, Jain and Jews
• have passed SSC from Maharashtra 
• have taken admission in professional or technical diploma/degree courses
• hold a bonafide certificate of the respective institution 
• have got admission through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP)/Institute Level
• have an annual family income of up to ₹8,00,000

Note:- The candidates selected for this scholarship cannot avail of any other scholarship/stipend.

Documents Needed

• Domicile certificate
• Income certificate
• Mark sheet of the previous examination
• Educational certificate - SSC (Class 10) and onwards
• Minority declaration - Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper
• Income certificate from the employer, if any (school leaving certificate can also be considered as proof of minority)

How To Apply

• Step 2: Click on 'New Applicant Registration'. 
• Step 3: Fill in all required details, and verify the email and phone number.
• Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometrics. 
• Step 5: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
• Step 6: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details.
• Step 7: Log in using the username and password. 
• Step 8: Complete the scholarship application, upload the necessary documents and submit.
