Scholarship Details

The main objective of the Swami Vivekananda scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students of the state. Now the students of West Bengal who are not able to afford their fees can continue their studies as the government is going to finance their education. This scheme will increase the literacy rate in the state and will also create employment.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be domiciled in West Bengal and has been continuing education in institutes situated in West Bengal.
• Applicants must be continuing his/her study in educational institutions of West Bengal after passing out in Current year from the West Bengal State Board/Council of Secondary/Higher Secondary and Madrasah Education and State University.
• Students must belong to General category.
• Annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 lakhs (Certificate to be issued by any gazetted officer not below the rank of Joint BDO).

Documents Needed

The following documents are to be uploaded at the time of filing the online application:-

• Front side of the Mark sheet of the last examination.
• Back side of the Mark sheet of the last examination.
• Admit card of madhyamik or equivalent examination.
• Income certificate in the prescribed format.
• First page of bank pass book, mentioning clearly the A/C no. and IFSC details.
• Voter ID/Aadhaar card etc.
• Recent Photograph (size must between 100 and 120 KB).
• Institute verification form duly authenticated by the Head of the Institution (HOI) in the prescribed format.
• Domicile certificate.
• Ration card/voter card.

• An applicant ID in the form of characters amounting to 15 digits is generated for the candidate after registration.
• Login with the generated Applicant ID and Password.
• Enter Captcha Code.
• Fill up the rest of the application forms.
• Upload the scanned copies of the Image and Signature in the following sizes-
  • - Image Signature Format- JPG/JPEG
  • - Size of Image Signature- 10KB-20KB
• Upload the documents.
• Click on Submit Application to complete the application process.
