Scholarship Details

Talent support programs will be helpful for the students who are not able to continue their studies because of the poverty that they are living in. This scholarship will be available to students studying from Class 10th to the Ph.D. level. The scholarship will likely be rejected if he/she belongs to the non-minority community and if the student was unable to secure 50% marks in the last examination. This scholarship is specially created to help students who belong to the economically backward society. Students must belong to one of these communities in order to apply for Talent Support Program. Wherein, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis are officially notified as a minority community.

Award
  • The West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation provides students with financial grants in the form of financial assistance.
  • The amount offered to the students under this scholarship depends on the level of education he/she is pursuing.
  • The tenure of this scholarship is 1 year only.
  • The scholarship is transferred directly to the candidates account with the help of DBT.


Eligibility
  • The student must be a domicile of West Bengal state.
  • He/she must belong to minority communities.
  • The students must be studying in class 11th to Ph.D. level.
  • The applicant must have passed his/her previous qualifying exam of Board/University with less than 50% marks (50% or more marks are not eligible).
  • Only two children of a family can apply for this scholarship
  • The family annual income of the applicant should be less than Rs.2 Lakhs.
  • The students pursuing regular courses are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The selected students must not be receiving any other scholarship while applying for this scholarship.
  • After submitting the application form, the applicant must take a print out of the application. This print out must be submitted to the concerned institute along with a bank passbook and annual income certificate.
Documents Needed

The applicant will have to submit the following documents in this scholarship

  • Aadhaar Card Photocopy.
  • Recent Photograph.
  • Domicile of West Bengal Certificate.
  • Minority certificate (Issued by a competent authority).
  • Mark sheet of last qualifying examination.
  • Family Annual Income Certificate.
  • Bank copies with Account No/ IFSC Code.
