Scholarship Details
The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are studying at the post-matric level. Objective of this scheme is to improve the participation of Minority communities (Muslim-309, Sikh-187, Christian-20, Budhhist-196, Jain-4, Parsi-2, Total = 718 Students) for a better chance of progressing to the post-matric stage of education.
Award
Admission and tuition fees for classes XI and XII:
- Hostellers & Day Scholars - Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.7000/- per annum
Admission and course/tuition fee for technical and vocational courses of XI and XII level (Includes fees/charges for raw materials, etc.):
- Hostellers & Day Scholars - Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.10000/- per annum
- Admission and tuition fee for under- graduate, post graduate: Hostellers & Day Scholars - Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.3000/- per annum
Maintenance allowance for 10 months only in an academic year (Includes expenses for study material, etc.):
- Classes XI and XII including technical and vocational courses of this level: Hostellers - Rs.380/- per month Day Scholars - Rs.230/- per month
- Courses other than technical and professional courses at under- graduate and post graduate level: Hostellers - Rs.570/- per month Day Scholars - Rs.300/- per month
- M. Phil and Ph.D. (For those researchers who are not awarded any fellowship by university or any other authority): Hostellers - Rs.1200/- per month Day Scholars - Rs.550/- per month
Eligibility
- The student should belong to a Minority community (Muslim/ Sikh/ Christian/ Buddhist).
- The student must have secured at least 50% marks in the last qualifying examination.
- The student must be studying in class 12th to Ph.D. level of education at Govt. / recognized schools/ colleges/ institutes, including technical/ vocational courses.
- The annual family income should be less than INR 2 Lakh from all sources.

- Himachali Bonafide Certificate
- Previous year mark sheet
- Latest Bank Statement of the Students Bank Account
- Caste Certificate (Issued by an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar)
- Income Certificate (Issued by an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar)

How To Apply
- Step 1: Visit the official website of NSP.
- Step 2: Go to the New registration option.
- Step 3: Enter the required details in the registration application.
- Step 4: Complete the registration by verifying the number and email ID by enter the OTP.
- Step 5: Now go to the apply link of the scholarship you wish to apply for and click on it.
- Step 6: Fill the application form and Upload the documents as prescribed.
- Step 7: Submit the form and take a print out.
