Scholarship Details

The fellowship is open in all areas of Theoretical Physics, Mathematics, Theoretical Computer Science and Computational Biology, but particularly in those of interest to faculty members. The main objective of launching this scholarship is to maintain a high standard of research as well as to contribute to IMSc activities, such as by giving regular talks, organizing seminar series, and participating in teaching and outreach. The institute will offer this scholarship for a period of 1 year.

Award

• Salary: Rs.40,000/-
• Contingency Grant: Rs.32,000/-
• Medical coverage will be provided to the fellowship holder.
• IMSc will attempt to provide furnished accommodation to all selected post-doctoral fellows, this is subject to availability.
• A house rent allowance (equal to 30% of the fellowship amount) can be provided in lieu of Institute accommodation.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria under this scheme is as follows:-

• The applicant must have completed a Ph.D. in their respective discipline.
• Candidates should have submitted their doctoral thesis.
