Scholarship Details

This scholarship is only available to the citizens of India and the people having more than 40% of disability and a working disability certificate issued by the competent medical authorities. The help will be provided to the students till the level of a postgraduate degree or diploma in any category. The PWD candidates are not able to take scholarship opportunities due to the differences that they have to face.

Award

• Reimbursement of tuition fees and non-refundable charges paid/payable to the institute: Up to INR 2 Lakhs per annum (subject to actual amount)
• Maintenance allowance for day scholars: INR 1,500 per month
• Maintenance allowance for hostellers: INR 3,000 per month
• Reimbursement of expenses for the purchase of a computer with accessories: INR 30,000 (one-time grant)
• Reimbursement of expenses for the purchase of Aids and Assistive Devices: INR 30,000 (one-time grant)
• Book grant (Hostellers and Day Scholars): INR 5,000 per annum
• Special allowances: INR 2,000 per month

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
• The applicant must be pursuing studies at graduate/postgraduate degree/diploma level in notified institutions of excellence in education.
• The applicant must have more than 40% disability and a valid certificate for the same.
• The applicant must have an annual family income of less than INR 6 lakh.
• 50% of the total scholarships available each year for top class education shall be reserved for girl candidates. 

NOTE: In case an adequate number of girl candidates are not available or not found eligible as per the terms and condition of the scheme, the unutilized slots can be utilized by selecting suitable male candidates.

• Step 1: Visit the official website of NSP
• Step 2: Go to the New registration option
• Step 3: Enter the required details in the registration application
• Step 4: Complete the registration by verifying the number and email ID by enter the OTP
• Step 5: Now go to the apply link of the scholarship you wish to apply for and click on it
• Step 6: Fill the application form and Upload the documents as prescribed
• Step 7: Submit the form and take print out
