Scholarship Details
University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is a national-level examination conducted to determine whether applicants are eligible for the posts of Assistant Professor, Lectureship, or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
Award
stipend every month:
- JRF (Junior Research Fellow) - up to INR 12,000
- SRF (Senior Research Fellow) - up to INR 14,000
contingency grant:
- JRF (Junior Research Fellow) - up to INR 10,000
- SRF (Senior Research Fellow) - up to INR 20,500
The government also provides HRA, medical leaves, academic leaves and other benefits to the selected fellows.
Eligibility
- The applicants should not be over 30 years of age. However, the government provides age relaxation of 5 years to the SC, ST, OBC categories.
- Applicants should hold a postgraduate or an equivalent degree.
- Applicants should have secured 50% marks for SC, ST, OBC candidates in last qualified examination.
