Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children Post Matric Scholarship

Scholarship Details

The scholarship is available for the students currently studying in the Arunachal Pradesh state and belonging to the ST category. The main aim of this scholarship is to support the education of those who belongs to the backward class of our society.

Award

• The scholars get a maintenance allowance of up to INR 1200 per month for hostellers and up to INR 550 per month for day scholars.
• Thesis typing and printing charges of up to INR 1600 for the research scholars.
• Study tour charges of up to INR 1600 per annum to the selected candidates.
• Annual allowance of INR 1200 for Essential/ Prescribed books.
• An additional allowance will be provided to ST students with disabilities.

Eligibility

• The applicant must have the domicile of Arunachal Pradesh.
• The applicant must belong to ST category.
• The applicant must be studying in class 11 or above.
• ST students who has completed matriculation/ higher secondary/ any higher exam of a university can apply for the scheme.
• The applicants who are pursuing education through correspondence mode can also apply.
• All the children of the same parents/guardians are eligible for the scholarship.
• Employed students on leave without pay for the entire duration of a full-time course.
• The applicants must not be availing benefits from any other scholarship/stipend scheme.
• The annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 2.5 Lakh.

Documents Needed

• Self-attested copy of Aadhaar card.
• Domicile certificate.
• Income certificate.
• Caste certificate (ST) duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer.
• School leaving certificate.
• Hostel certificate (for hosteller students).
• Mark sheet / Certificate of last year examination.
• School/college current year bonafide certificate.
• Thesis typing/printing bill (in case of MPhil, Ph.D., D.Litt., D.Pharm., D.Sc. students).
• Copy of the first page of bank passbook.
• Disability certificate (in case of disabled persons).

How To Apply

• Step 1: Visit the official website.
• Step 2: Go to the New registration option.
• Step 3: Enter the required details in the registration application.
• Step 4: Complete the registration by verifying the number and email ID by enter the OTP.
• Step 5: Now go to the apply link of the scholarship you wish to apply for and click on it.
• Step 6: Fill the application form and Upload the documents as prescribed.
• Step 7:  Submit the form and take print out.
