Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Post-Matric Scholarship

Scholarship Details

The objective of the scheme is to ensure economic welfare and empowerment of students belonging to backward classes of the society and help them financially for pursuing higher education.

Award

• Maximum of INR 1,600 per annum.
• Thesis typing and printing charges up to a maximum of INR 1,600 for the research scholars.
• Other allowance up to Rs 1,200/- per month to hostellers.

Eligibility

• This scheme is available only for Gujarat bonafide students, studying inside or outside the state.
• Candidates must belong to the ST category.
• Candidates studying in class 11 to postgraduate courses will be eligible.
• A candidate who wants to apply must not be a repeater in the same class.
• A candidate's family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh per annum.
• Candidates who are pursuing their studies through correspondence can also apply.

Documents Needed

• Passport size photograph of the applicant.
• School/ college current year bonafide certificate.
• Income certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Self-attested copy of Aadhar card.
• Self-attested caste certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Self-attested copy of previous year mark sheet.
• School leaving certificate.
• The first page of the bank passbook/ canceled cheque.
• Disability certificate (in case of disabled persons).
• Fee receipt of current course year.
• Hostel certificate (for hosteller students).
• Domicile certificate.
• Hostel certificate (for hosteller students).
• LWP certificate for employed candidates.
• Thesis typing/printing bill (in case of M.Phil, Ph.D., D.Litt, D.Pharm, D.Sc students).
