About

The JMS Trust Merit Scholarships 2025, offered by the JM Sethia Charitable Trust, a non-governmental organization established in 1997, provide financial assistance to meritorious Indian students pursuing education from Class 9 to postgraduate and professional levels. Introduced as the Educational Sponsorship Scheme in 1997, the scholarship supports students in achieving academic excellence by covering educational expenses such as tuition, books, and learning resources.

It awards up to INR 1,000 per month for 2–3 years, depending on the course duration, with categories tailored to different educational stages. Approximately 40–60 students are selected annually, with 20% of scholarships reserved for special categories, including physically challenged students, those excelling in extracurricular activities, and economically weaker sections. The program is administered from Kolkata, emphasizing merit-based selection and financial need.
