The Sun Pharma Science Foundation Research Fellowship 2025, offered by the Sun Pharma Science Foundation, an independent non-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, recognizes excellence in original research work in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. To be eligible for the Sun Pharma Science Foundation Research Fellowship 2025, applicants must:

• Be an Indian national working in India or a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) scientist holding a valid Indian passport working abroad.

• Have made significant contributions to original research in one of the following fields:

  • Medical Sciences-Basic Research

  • Medical Sciences-Clinical Research

  • Pharmaceutical Sciences

• Be nominated by the Head of a Research Institution, University, Medical, or Pharmaceutical College in India, or by a person competent to review the candidate’s research work (e.g., a senior scientist or academic).

• Not have received a Sun Pharma Science Foundation Research Fellowship or Research Award in the past for the same or similar research work (the fellowship is a one-time recognition for a scientist’s overall contributions in their specialty).

• Be willing to provide detailed documentation of research achievements, including publications, awards, and a citation summarizing the work’s impact.

• Exclusions:

  • Self-nominations are not accepted; nominations must come from an authorized nominator.

  • Research work previously awarded by the Sun Pharma Science Foundation or similar prestigious bodies is ineligible.

  • Applicants with ongoing conflicts of interest (academic or financial) related to the submitted research are not considered.

• Cash Prize: INR 250,000 (Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand) per fellowship.

  • Invitation to the Sun Pharma Science Foundation’s annual symposium, round table conferences, or award ceremonies, with economy-class airfare, boarding, and lodging expenses covered for participation.

• Note: The cash prize is a one-time award, not renewable, and is intended to honor the scientist’s overall research contributions rather than fund a specific project. No additional research grants or stipends are provided.

Nominations for the Sun Pharma Science Foundation Research Fellowship 2025 are submitted online through the Foundation’s portal. Follow these steps:

1. Obtain Nomination: Secure nomination from an authorized nominator, such as the Head of a Research Institution, University, Medical, or Pharmaceutical College in India, or a competent reviewer of the candidate’s work.

2. Register on Portal: Visit www.sunpharmasciencefoundation.net and create an account using a valid email ID and mobile number. The nomination submission portal opens on May 1, 2025.

3. Complete Nomination Form: The nominator fills out the online form, providing:

   • Candidate’s name, address, and contact details.

   • Detailed bio-data, including research achievements, awards received, and a list of publications.

   • A citation (approximately 250 words) summarizing the outstanding research work.

   • Details of the research work (not exceeding 6,000 words), including references and illustrations.

   • Copies of one or two specific publications or research papers relevant to the nominated work.

   • A signed statement from the candidate confirming the work has not received prior awards and clarifying contributions of co-researchers (not exceeding 500 words).

   • Justification letter from the nominator, explaining the nomination rationale, signed by the nominator.

4. Upload Documents: Submit all required documents (listed below) in the specified digital format.

5. Submit Online: Complete and submit the nomination by June 30, 2025, through the portal.

6. Send Hard Copy: Mail a printed copy of the nomination and all uploaded documents to:

7. Selection Process:

   • Shortlisted candidates may be invited to present their work to assessors at the Foundation’s discretion.

   • Final decisions are announced by August/September 2025, and recipients are notified via email or postal communication.

Note: The nomination process is strictly online, with a mandatory hard copy submission. Incomplete nominations or those submitted after deadlines are rejected. The Panel’s decision is final and cannot be contested.
